This piece is so crazy.
The way that the piece ended is strange to think about. That the moment when she became herself again, when it was over and she started moving, everyone ran away. No one could confront the fact that she was not an object. Mob mentality and objectification of people is such a strange thing to think about.
And the white hair!
Damn.
Abby Peterson re-performed this piece. YES. Woman were and still are treated as objects to do with what you will. We should watch Yves Klein and discuss the state of culture and art at the time. Women could be the subject and the object but to take control of their image and to have the power - well that was taboo.
